Letter to 2 Arkansas Representatives:
As a consumer and a user of the Internet, I don’t feel like I need the government to censor any website just because someone “claims” a site is illegal or doing something illegal. The privacy of the American people will be violated if SOPA or PIPA is passed. As my representative please vote NO to these pointless bills of an attempt to try to control a medium that is meant to be free: The World Wide Web. Businesses are using the Internet to hire people and interview for jobs now. Social Media is now a job market and a field that I want to go into. If SOPA or PIPA is passed, there is no more social media job opportunities and I’m out of luck. There will be no search engines, no video, music, POETRY, book, or even fan sites of ANYTHING. As a consumer, I DEMAND my freedom to use the Internet. People pay a bill every month to use the Internet and now the money is wasted. People without cell phones can’t use GTalk through Google to call their loved ones aka ME. Advertising goes back to the dinosaur era of T.V. and Radio. Also, as a consumer I deserve my right of free speech on the Internet. GIVE ME THAT RIGHT PLEASE! If you love your people of Arkansas at all, please vote NO to the bill of SOPA and PIPA.
p.s: Yes, this is information you have heard a million times before, but as a consumer, the producer must change to fit the demand. So if enough consumers demand the FREE use of the Internet, we’ll get it. Believe me. We will be heard and the government will listen.
Sincerely, Lamberta
